The aptly-named is Tweed’s new specialty tequila bar and after three years in the making, this vibey joint is set to be the go-to destination for tequila and mezcal lovers on the Gold Coast.

Located on the lively Bay Street in Tweed Heads, Nacho Baby is much more than just a bar; it's a whole experience meticulously designed to capture your senses. The fit-out is seriously slick—exposed brick seamlessly contrasts natural timbers and pressed wood; candlelight accentuates the moody vibes and Mexican tunes create a complete sensory immersion.

With a focus on premium tequilas and mezcals, Nacho Baby's extensive cocktail menu is set to impress, with margaritas taking their rightful centre stage. The Jalapeno Jeaven with jalapeno-infused tequila, aloe, cucumber and lime is sublime and Nacho Baby’s twist on a Moscow Mule with chilli-infused mezcal, ginger beer, lime, chilli, lime biscuit and house spices is a must-order.

You can pair your cocktails with snacks from the small yet carefully curated food menu, but it’s safe to say cocktails are the real star of the show here. There’s also traditional Mexican beers, Aussie brews and a concise selection of Australian wines. 

Co-owner Dan Hunjas has a strong vision of creating a specialty tequila bar unlike anything on the Gold Coast—and we think it’s safe to say the Nacho Baby team has done a pretty damn good job.
