The Verdict

A Nobby Beach institution, we love to pull up a stool on Mexicali’s western-facing upper deck to soak up those late afternoon rays. 

And did you hear? Mexicali is now going meat-free on Mondays. Their new plant-based menu will include all of the food, wine, beer and cocktails—plus an all-night happy hour. Hola!

Any other night of the week, the Baja fish taco (paired with the loaded carne asada fries) is to die for, and single-handedly makes Mexicali one of the best restaurants on the Coast for a killer taco feast. You’ll often find us here for Taco Tuesdays, when you can dig into these bad boys for just $6 a pop or their epic afternoon-long Sunday sesh with live tunes, drink specials and margs on tap.
