Ember has recently undergone a bold transformation and is springing back to life, keeping the flames ignited—literally—with a new menu, new lunch offering and new direction.

Ember stars epicurean offerings of charcoal-grilled premium meats and local produce cooked on a Josper Charcoal Grill, sizzling at 400+°C to elevate dishes with smoky charcoal flavours. The refreshed menu champions three cuts of the finest Wagyu, as well as a variety of other high-quality steak cuts, chicken and seafood dishes. While steak is undoubtedly the star of the menu, Ember also caters to gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan diners. 

Alongside the fresh new menu comes a slick new bar space, perfect for sipping down a selection of Ember’s carefully selected drops. The prime location on ever-bustling Jonson Street is the perfect people-watching spot while you sip on top-tier vino.

Ember is modelled on owner Troy Lister’s love of traditional New York steakhouses, and it certainly lives up to expectations. Owner and trained chef, Lister has been a local for the past 30 years, previously managing popular Lennox Head pub . So yes, he knows what he’s doing.

“At Ember we’ve always believed in creating more than just a restaurant. It's a space where conversations flourish and community comes together,” says Lister.
