In seriously delicious news for Broadbeach locals, cult-fave Mexican restaurant has opened in Broady and we couldn't be more excited. It has ignited Broadbeach's dining scene, breathing new energy into the iconic yellow building on the corner of Armrick Avenue, proving that sometimes the most mouthwatering revivals come wrapped in a tortilla.
Brought to us by brothers Matt and Nick Stanley, Costa Taco has rapidly grown from a market stall at Currumbin Community Markets in 2020 to a stalwart of the Gold Coast and Byron Bay dining scenes with two ever-pumping taquerias in Palm Beach and Byron Bay.
The inception of Costa Taco was born from a clear vision—to serve up true Mexican cuisine without 'translating' it for the Australian palate. And true Mexican food you will find on their menu, starring street-style tacos, also known as 'quesabirria' with Costa's famous consome dipping sauce, ceviche tostadas, street corn and, of course, damn good margis.
The new Broadbeach venue is making its biggest mark on the Gold Coast yet, boasting twice the capacity of its predecessors. You know what that means. More space for more tacos.
Nick Stanley, co-founder of Costa Taco, explains the significance of their third location: "Our Broadbeach restaurant is a pivotal moment for Costa Taco. It's about expanding our mission to bring a truly authentic Mexican experience to the Gold Coast. We're creating a space where the energy of Mexico meets Australian beach culture." We dig it, and so will you.
