When hospitality heavyweights Paul and Fallon Gloftis launched in 2021, we knew it was going to be special. Even more so when they debuted their elevated fish and chip menu earlier this year—family-friendly classics star alongside gourmet takes on fish and chippery favourites including Patagonian Toothfish, flash-fried school prawns, grilled octopus and a classic fish burger with line-caught snapper.
You can select your own fillet from the huge array of fresh fish including coral trout from Northern QLD, mahi-mahi from Mooloolaba and much more. And if that wasn't enough already, you can level up your potato scallops with an indulgent topping of caviar. Now we're talking. Fish and chips are available daily from 11am to 7pm.

Millie Weirs Fish & Chippery

A godsend for our Northern friends, has been ranked in the top three best fish and chip shops on the Gold Coast in 2020 and 2021, and for good reason.
This gourmet fish and chippery has a focus on healthy options, and all their fish and calamari is crumbed and battered to order, so you know you’re getting only the crispiest and freshest goods. Plus, most of the menu can be made gluten- and dairy-free. We recommend ordering their famous ‘Fisherman’s Catch’ basket, wandering across to the Paradise Point Esplanade and watching the sunset over the water. Bliss.

This cozy local fish and chip joint is all about fresh, local ingredients and recipes handcrafted with love and we dig it. Here you'll find all of the simple things, done well. Classic fish and chips and housemade burgers are the star of the show at but we also can't go past the seafood basket with prawn cutlets, calamari rings, fish bites, seafood sticks and chips.

With over 30 years' experience tucked under their belts, the team at certainly know what they're doing. Operating since 1981, everything is cooked fresh from scratch on premises and they place an emphasis on creating healthier, flavoursome alternatives to fast food. Sorrento Seafoods is open seven days a week and serves up banger fish and chips and burgers.

Small in name and size, but large in flavour and servings is the name of the game at . Located in an airstream in Robina, this fish and chip joint is renowned for their signature Moreton Bay bug bao and their battered fish of the day bao.
Fish and chip purists, fear not. They also serve the classic battered fish and chips, grilled fish, oh-so-crispy potato scallops, BBQ king prawns, chargrilled baby octopus and much more. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, you can also pre-order online and pick it up piping hot.

It can can very rushed during the weekend and the evenings, so we recommend avoiding peak times.
Selfish Fish N Chips

certainly isn’t selfish, sharing their beautifully cooked, fresh fish and chips to the masses from their Wharf Street location in Tweed Heads. Voted the best fish and chips on the Tweed, Selfish has a lovely, salty breeze with plenty of opportunity to see the sea and plonk down by the trees.
The focus is on food cooked to order—nothing pre-battered or pre-crumbed and they even have gluten-free options. If you don’t feel like fish, fear not as there are nine different burger options on the menu.
