The Verdict
A stalwart on King Street’s vibrant drinking and dining scene, Sydney pub, Newtown Hotel is a go-to amongst the locals. Known for its live music gigs as well as weekly comedy and trivia nights, there’s always plenty to keep you entertained.
Upstairs, The Animal is great for group dining with a delicious banquet menu for just $40 per person. There’s also an extensive wine list, craft beer and classic cocktails, which we’d happily pair with a house-made chicken pie or grilled king prawns. Order the full rack of beef short ribs if you’re feeling game (and you will be).
