The verdict

With its mix of urban and traditional influences, Turkish cuisine doesn't come more authentic than at Balmain's Efendy Restaurant. With a menu inspired by emerging foodie trends from Istanbul, this is one to BYO stretchy pants. Serving an award-winning Turkish breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside an extensive wine list, you're in for a whole lot of Turkish deliciousness. Using local and sustainable produce, this is the kind of place that's perfect for sharesies.

And to up the ante even further (yep, there’s more) Efendy is now doing bottomless mess and wine nights every single Wednesday and Thursday from 5pm. We’ll repeat, if you head here on either of those days for dinner, you’ll be snacking on warm lavash bread with za’atar butter, crispy AF kadayif prawns with walnut and capsicum muhammara and some of the best smoked eggplant going around. Oh, and you’ll also score a bottomless two-hour Turkish wine package. And the entire thing will only cost $60 per person. It’s a damn bargain and you know it.
