Clove Lane may just look like your regular old corner store but this is where to head if you’re in the mood to treat yourself to a delish feast and top shelf cocktails (the best kind, obvs).

If you haven’t already heard of Cory Campbell, Michael Tran and Emile Avramides, well you’re about to be a fan, because these fine dining chefs have decided to bring it all back to Sydney with this relaxed café slash bistro. 

The open kitchen might just be the best part of the experience at Clove Lane and boy oh boy do the boys put on a show. The atmosphere will remind you of heading home for the Sunday Roast you’ve been hanging out for all week, with chefs keeping it so real that they’re ducking out to their own herb garden mid-dish. 

To match the laid-back design of the interior, the food has gone back to basics too, focusing on only the freshest of ingredients. Think baby gem lettuce with walnut vinaigrette or roast spatchcock with parsnip and tarragon. It’s too easy to find yourself wanting to order the same thing every time you head here, but do yourself a favour order the special, since the menu changes almost daily. This is as fresh as it gets, people.
