In the heart of the city, as part of the multi-million-dollar glow-up of Martin Place, Cabana Bar is officially Sydney’s largest outdoor terrace bar.
From the team behind Greenwood, Bistro Mosman, and the award-winning Verandah Precinct, this breezy resort-style alfresco spot stretches over 100m, and features two beach-inspired bars, semi-private dining, and an open-air kitchen.
Like a tropical island hideaway in the middle of the concrete jungle, Cabana Bar operates on “Cabana Time”, and is open all day for quick lunches, long lunches, boozy after-work hangs, and epic late-night vibes.
Designed by Sydney-based Luchetti Krelle, the bar’s oasis-inspired aesthetic takes cues from a Beach Boys soundtrack, with deep Pacific blue leather “Aruba” booths and sand-hued timber accents in “Kokomo Corner”.
As for what's on the menu, expect pub classics with a seasonal, tropical holiday twist. Think herb-crumbed chicken schnitzel and southern prime sirloin, alongside tequila-cured salmon, tacos, fresh-as oysters, and cheese boards.
The cocktails are a real highlight, as they should be at a resort-inspired bar. Try the "Coco Cabana-Rita", a coconut margarita made with 1800 Coconut Tequila, Joseph Catron Coconut, and lime, or the "Cabana Tai’m’", the house Mai Tai made with Pampero Blanco rum, Cointreau, lime, pineapple, orange, and bitters. Keep the tropical vibes flowing with Piña Colada, a Tommy's "Cabana" margarita, a lychee daiquiri, or a raspberry and lime Mojito.
