Summer Salt is a sparkling seafood restaurant with floor-to-ceiling ocean views overlooking Elouera Beach in Cronulla. The Italian-leaning coastal menu celebrates a variety of locally caught Aussie seafood.

Start with oysters and caviar, followed by the mouthwatering Moreton Bay Bug linguine, or go all out with hot and cold seafood platters packed with Sydney Rock oysters, cooked tiger prawns, South Australia mussels, blue swimmer crab, and Tasmanian smoked salmon galore.

While you’re there, you might as well order a couple of cocktails—our fave is the Sunnyboy: a nostalgic summery splash of yuzu sake, Passoa, passionfruit, and lemon.

You probably can’t get any closer to dining on Sydney Harbour—unless you were actually in the water. Whalebridge sits pretty on the Circular Quay promenade, neighbouring the Opera House and directly in front of the Harbour Bridge.

The waterfront restaurant serves a French menu with star dishes like moules à la provençale: organic mussels, tomato, garlic, herbs and baguette, grilled whole lobster with maître d’hôtel butter, and a two-person snapper, lobster, salmon and duchess potato pie.

And if you’re feeling extra, there’s a decadent fruits de mer platter with half a lobster, rock oysters, prawns and scallop crudo that feels remiss to order without a glass (or bottle) of French champagne.
