Bringing a breath of fresh air to Eumundi, is one of the Sunshine Coast’s newest restaurants which boasts a strong ethos of celebrating local produce through creative culinary flair. Designed for long, lazy lunches in the sunshine, take it slow at BASK, let the afternoon pass you by and your afternoon lunch turn into dinner plans so you have a chance to linger and soak up the gorgeous ambience.

Recently featured by Australian Traveller as one of the ‘Best New Restaurants In Australia’, BASK is already making waves in the Sunshine Coast foodie scene, and for very good reason. Set amongst luxe tropical gardens in the heart of Eumundi, the dreamy cottage-esque space oozes chic country vibes and elegantly combines owners Jess Coolican and Jack Madden’s passion for food and design. BASK’s seasonal menus are designed to be shared with loved ones, seamlessly blending simplicity and depth of flavour.

BASK has just released their incredible new autumn menu, and trust us when we say that we are blown away. You can choose from the omnivore or herbivore menu and that might just be the hardest decision you have to make at BASK because they are both as tempting as each other.

Start off with salted cod croquettes and preserved lemon aioli, before whetting your appetite with char grilled octopus, limoncello and fennel. Savour the flavours of pork loin with saffron confit escabeche and roasted heirloom beetroot with goats cheese and salted zucchini. If you’re of the herbivorous tendency, you’ll be spoiled with roasted pumpkin wellington and salted zucchini, as well as charred baby peppers with smoked eggplant and lemon caper oil. Of course, no feast would be complete without a sweet finish and BASK does not disappoint with a sublime olive oil cake paired with house made marmalade.

BASK is the perfect marriage of simplicity and sophistication; it’s stripped back yet refined and is a true celebration of the Sunshine Coast’s local flavours.
