If you’re looking for a rave-worthy weekend getaway location, one not too far from Brisbane but that will feel like a million miles away, we know just the spot.

, two hours out of Brisbane up in the hills on the edge of the Scenic Rim, is the kind of luxe hotel that you book into for that very special occasion—an anniversary, birthday or even a sneaky proposal. Once you arrive, with the lodge at the end of a winding, 12km gravel road, you pretty much don’t leave until it’s time to check out again. And you won’t want to, especially since the place is gloriously all-inclusive. It all starts with a glass of bubbles in the lodge lounge, preferably by the roaring fire if you’ve booked in for the cooler months. After a hearty lunch in The Peak restaurant, you can officially check into your room, where you can either chill out on your private patio overlooking the fields and make the most of the complimentary mini bar, or change into your best country outfit and start exploring.

There’s plenty to explore—multiple hiking and mountain biking trails criss cross the property, with  lookouts, a rope swing, a Tardis-inspired phone booth and a few Scottish highland cows to find and pop on the ‘gram. Back at the lodge, there’s a tennis court, pool table, pool (complete with a spa bath) and a day spa where you can book in for massages, facials, body wraps and more (we recommend the Peak Signature experience). You can also book experiences like picnics, 4WD tours, cocktail making classes and more—or you could just find a comfy spot in the lounge and drink your way through the Australian wine list, if that’s more your style…

For dinner, it’s back to The Peak, where a five-course dinner of elevated Modern Australian cuisine using the best local produce available awaits, all matched with Australian wines of course. In keeping with their ethos of 'the best of Australia on a plate', the thoughtful menu changes often, depending on what's in season from passionate local produce and the restaurant's own kitchen garden, which you can take a wander through during your stay.

A long, leisurely breakfast is also included of course, which you'll be served back at The Peak overlooking the misty morning mountains. Make sure you don't need to rush back to reality—you'll want to make use of every second of that 11am check out.
