The Verdict
The brilliant team that brought you Camberwell favourites Collective Espresso and Miss Frank have wandered south. Boasting healthy dishes with raw fruit confetti, brûlée yoghurt and black tea marbled eggs, this newly opened Hughesdale café has spurred on more than just a little local interest.
We’re totally eying the orange blossom hotcakes—because we may be a little older and wiser but hotcakes are still the best start to every Sunday. If you’re more of a savoury brunch-er, flavour-packed options include smashed herbed peas with black quinoa, haloumi, berbere spice, butter bean puree and a poached egg.
A bright, multi-spaced venue, Temperance Society features polished timber, dilapidated white-washed walls and plenty of shrubbery in their summery, open space. Extremely pooch and child-friendly, your whole family (furry or not) is welcome at this particular society.
