The Verdict

Say hello to the newest kid on the block in Fitzroy: . This Indian hangout is part restaurant, part cocktail bar, serving up an array of reimagined street food classics. With the successful restaurant in Geelong behind her, head chef and owner Manpreet Sekhon is here to bring her signature flavours to the big smoke.

The menu may be inspired by street food, but the decor tells a different story. Think Fitzroy meets New York loft, with exposed brick, pendant lights, a huge mural on the wall and an incredibly insta-worthy dining room. The food is certainly worth a snap too. Each plate is vibrant from golden samosas and bright curries, to a variety of breads straight from the tandoor and Indian donuts to finish. 

The drinks list is just as enticing. They’ve got your classic cocktails like the Long Island and the espresso Martini along with their signature offerings. Then, there’s the Pink City cocktail with Hibiscus, Lemon, Pomegranate and Gin. The Oh My Coconut drink packs a punch, too. 

This place isn’t just a restaurant though, they’re building a community. Every Tuesday is Vegan Curry Night—for just $39pp you can mop up a range of curries with their signature vegan naan bread, then wash it down with a vegan wine. Sounds pretty good to us. Book your feast .
