The verdict
The first of the new wave modern Mexican restaurants to hit Melbourne a few years back, Mamasita remains one of the best in class (if not the best), with punters still patiently waiting in line for an hour or more to get their fresh Mex fix. All good things come to those who wait, like the tasty tostaditas, moreish tacos (the fish are delish), wham bam Margaritas, and the street style grilled cobs with chipotle mayo and lime. Drool.
While on evenings and weekends you can only book if you're a group of 8 or more, Mamasita is now accepting weekday lunch reservations for groups up to 10.
