Reopened and redesigned after a full renovation and under new ownership, the fresh new interior really breathes new life into Il Caminetto. Polished concrete and white sandblasted walls give you the feeling that you are nestled in a quiet Italian village and about to tuck into some delicious pizza and pasta.

Starring an impressive open kitchen, you’re able to see all the magic happen, with chefs preparing handmade pasta and gnocchi daily. The pizzas are beautifully created—the dough rests for 72 hours before cooking, which allows it to become light and lush once cooked. 

With many Italian classics on the menu, Il Caminetto also pushes the boundaries of conventional toppings. Take the Bianca Gamberi, for instance: Stracciatella cheese, prawns, pancetta and parsley. Can we get a ‘hell yes’? 

What’s more is that deliciousness is available for those of all walks of dietary requirements, which always gets bonus points from us. Plus, there’s Aperol Spritz on tap, so there’s that.

If you’re too full from the mains, we suggest you grab a Nutella calzone to take away and have it when you get home—it’s a must every time you go.

Il Caminetto is open Sunday to Thursday from 5 pm until 9:30 pm and 11:30 am until 9:30 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
