Brightly coloured frozen margaritas

Brisbane, we’ve got some good news for you. A five-week-long slushie marg festival titled "Ritapalooza" is happening in Brisbane right now, courtesy of the folk at El Camino Cantina, who we all know as the home of giant slushie margaritas.

On now until 27 November and only at the South Bank restaurant, the Brisbane leg of Ritapalooza features a grand total of 24 frozen margarita flavours to sip your way through—a full nine more flavours than last time Ritapalooza was in town. The flavour line up is like a tour through our childhood birthday party favour bags, including Skittles, Grape Nerd, Hubba Bubba, Wizz Fizz Pop and fairy bread as well as some more grown up but no less sugar-loaded salted caramel, passionfruit, paloma, mango, lychee and tropical punch.

If you can't decide on just one, but don't want a permanent brain freeze, you'll also be able to get a tasting paddle of four 250ml flavours, or the mammoth Metre Rita—a one-metre tasting paddle of 12 50ml frozen flavours. We'll take that one please. You can also grab them in 15oz and 24oz glasses, 2-litre Rita towers and 3-litre Rita balloons.

And of course, you'll be able to munch on all of El Camino's Mexican feeds while you sip—they'll even be celebrating Taco Tuesday with $2 tacos, Wing Wednesdays with 10 cent wings and Fajita Thursdays with half-price fajitas during the festival. Find out more .
