The Verdict

Good company and phenomenal coffee are what Small Talk Coffee in Dulwich Hill is all about—so far it’s obviously ticking all of our boxes. Owner Samuel Terrey has created a chilled space where you can pop in for friendly vibes and damn good coffee—the beans are by local coffee wizards, Reuben Hills FYI. The focus here is on simplicity, so the coffee and food are the real stars of the show at Small Talk Coffee. Exposed brick walls, plain monochrome tiles and a black and white aesthetic give this place a minimalist feel, which we love.

On the food front there’s an always-changing selection of tasty morsels available each day, so you never really know what’s on offer until you arrive. This also means that you’ll have to stop by on the daily and order one of everything, obviously. Expect goodies like double baked mocha pecan croissants (yes), to pickled mushroom and scamorza cheese focaccia (um hell yes), and quince and ricotta muffins (you get it).
