The verdict
North Bondi’s kings of shakshuka, SHUK’s Yoni Kalfus, Erez Beker and Ariel Hefer have teamed up with their Head Chef German Sanchez to open a bakery, and you should damn well be excited about it. This is the place head this weekend to pick up your gluten free sprouted bread, pastries and simple sourdough done well.
Since opening, SHUK Bondi has baked errrything from scratch, from the Turkish bread to dip in hummus to the sourdough that’s good with everything—let’s be real—but they’ve outgrown the space, thus the new bakery.
If you've got a bit of time up your sleeve, then we recommend that you settle in and bask in all of the carby goodness. There will also be a takeaway window, so you’ll be able to pick up your cup of Joe on the way to the office without ever breaking stride. Well, close enough.
