At the historic Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool in the Domain precinct and overlooking Sydney Harbour, Oh Boy serves breakfasts, bottomless brunches and lunches, poolside snacks, and post-swim treats and coffee.
Like an extension of an at-home pool, the offering at Oh Boy is available from the dining space right to the pool’s edge, with poolside ordering and service available on Saturdays and Sundays, meaning you don’t have to leave your sun lounge or spot on the bleachers to order a spritz or snack.
Healthy and hearty breakfast dishes like a chickpea breakfast bowl with falafel, poached eggs, green tahini, pickles and yoghurt or a classic egg and bacon roll can be ordered from 7am for dine-in or takeaway, before the lunch offering transitions to a Mediterranean influence at lunchtime.
Lunch picks include spaghetti and cuttlefish ragu, chicken schnitzel with gremolata, kale slaw and fries, and a classic cheeseburger or steak sandwich.
The drinks menu spans coffees to enjoy with the breathtaking view or take away after a swim, smoothies, and a crowd-pleasing selection of wines and beers, plus Aperol, elderflower, limoncello and pink gin spritzes, and mimosas.
For sunny weekend brunches, Oh Boy does a $78pp bottomless brunch between 11.30am and 3pm Friday–Sunday, with a choice of two hours of flowing mimosas, blanc de blanc or rosé.
The bottomless brunch menu covers pastries and fruit, burrata and tomata salad, charcuterie, mains and fries, and dessert and cocktails can be added too.
Revamped for spring 2023, the venue merges Aussie pool culture, with playful food and drinks, a bright white and terracotta palette to contrast against the blue harbour and pool, and native flora elements inspired by the neighbouring Royal Botanic Gardens.
While Oh Boy cafe wraps up at 4pm daily, the breathtaking waterside space on the edge of the city is available for private events and functions hire until 11.30pm.
