Cafe Freda’s is taking on a new life as Bar Freda’s, back where it all began in Chippendale. is a massive three-night opening party with DJs spinning tunes til 5am at their new two-storey terrace digs, connected to The Abercrombie Hotel.
For the official launch night on Thursday, Bar Freda’s will host favourites like Ciara, who started spinning at the OG venue, Best Record label owner DJ Earl Grey, DJ Salami, and more, plus a new monthly event, Janky’s Apartment with icon Aunty Jonny.

Egypt’s oldest traditional festival is heading to The University of Sydney’s Chau Chak Wing Museum. , or “smelling the breeze”, is an annual celebration that welcomes the arrival of Spring in Egypt, but you can get in on the action right here in Sydney.
