Tanjong Beach Club

, Singapore’s ultimate island escape, has officially reopened after a hiatus for extensive renovations that began last October. With brand-new interiors, an elevated dining experience, curated music programming, and much more, there’s no better place to step away from the urban grind and embrace the joys of island living.

The new venue unfolds across distinct yet fluid zones, each offering a fresh vantage point of the beachfront. At its heart, the iconic infinity pool anchors the club with its checkerboard tiles, framed by swaying palm trees and lined with custom daybeds in bold pops of colour perfect for the 'gram.

The food menu, designed by Head Chef Mong Zhen Yew (formerly of Osteria Mozza and Spago) in consultation with Vallian Gunawan (ex-head chef of Skool Kitchen Bali), elevates the classic beach BBQ with wood-fired coastal cuisine. At the heart of the kitchen is a Mibrasa grill, fuelled by a medley of ironbark, binchōtan, and applewood, lending an irresistible touch of fire and smoke to the entire menu.

Highlights include Smoked Hokkaido Scallop Aguachile with finger lime, apple gel and radish, and the Wood-fired Half Chicken marinated in red mojo (a blend of peppers, smoked paprika, fennel, adobo chillies, confit garlic, and breadcrumbs). Perfect for sharing, the Woodfired Flatbread is made with semolina, flour, and potato, fired until crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside, then topped with n’duja, mussels and stracciatella. The Mezze Platter, featuring warm pitas and falafel paired with a smorgasbord of fresh vegetables, served alongside dill aioli dip and smoked white bean hummus is also a good option.

As for the cocktails, you can’t beat the Tanjong Coast which features a crisp blend of Hendrick’s gin, guava, ginger and cucumber tonic—a great choice for all-day beachside lounging. There’s also a big focus on Champagne and large-format magnums which are a must for sun-drenched afternoons that flow into high-energy nights.

Part of the new (a standalone lifestyle and entertainment precinct by the Shangri-La Group), is a family-oriented beach club with a sandcastle-themed wet-play zone and an infinity pool right by the beach. Complete with poolside and in-water sun loungers as well as elaborate two-storey private gazebos, you’ll be able to soak up some sun while the kids have a splashing good time.

As for the food and drink, there’s a kids menu full of child-friendly dishes such as chicken nuggets, pizza and fish and chips. For mum and dad, you’ll find everything from sliders and salads to seafood and wraps. There’s also a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available but we recommend their signature tiki cocktails.

Originating in Bali and arriving on Singapore’s shores in 2019, combines authentic Balinese charm with soulful seaside bliss. The only beach club in Sentosa to have three swimming pools and direct access to the beach, Rumours was designed for both adults and children—there’s even a dedicated pet friendly area for your four legged friends.

Offering a new menu featuring international and local flavours, you can expect dishes like Canadian pork ribs with sweet potato chips and Indonesian fried rice. If you want something on the lighter side, we are big fans of the grilled corn with parmesan and homemade chilli mayo as well as the spiced chicken skewers. The kids menu has all the usual suspects including pizza, fish fingers and a ham and cheese panini.

Add to that top DJs, unparalleled views of the sea, a sophisticated menu of summer cuisine, along with expertly curated cocktails and you are in for the perfect Sentosa beach club experience.

For those of you with children, unfortunately +Twelve is a kid-free zone. You have to be at least 16 years old to enter.

Tipsy Unicorn

Having only opened its doors a few months ago,  has already proven itself worthy of a spot on our roundup of the best Sentosa beach clubs. With indoor and outdoor areas, private cabanas, daybeds and VIP lounges, you know Tipsy Unicorn isn’t playing around. Got the urge to unleash your inner party animal? It also happens to be the only Sentosa beach club to bring live bands to its shores, so expect state-of-the art staging, lighting and sound systems.

If you find yourself getting peckish while working on your tan, their beachside snacks are perfect for eating one handed (you’ll have a cocktail in the other obviously). We recommend the pork skewers, grilled corn and roasted cauliflower.

The menu, which was designed by Michelin star Chef Nandu Jubany, is packed with delicious Spanish dishes. You can expect plenty of fresh seafood, dry-aged meat cuts, paella, and hot and cold tapas. The deep-fried Iberico ham croquettes and duck rillette served with pickles and toasted bread are an excellent choice.
