Little Island Brewing Co
Nestled in the charming and laid-back Changi Village lies ., a sprawling 10,000 square feet, 400-seat microbrewery and smokehouse. With 30 tipples on tap (including cocktails like margaritas and Singapore Slings), the hardest decision you’ll have to make here is what to order first. With all of the beers brewed on-site, you can taste your way through excellent drops like a Nitro Chocolate Milk Stout, a Blood Orange Saison and Lime-Infused Red Sour. The food menu here is equally as drool-worthy with suckling pig, crispy pork, 15-hour smoked beef brisket and grilled snapper all on offer. LeVel33
If you like your craft beer with a side of jaw-dropping city views, then is for you. Located on the rooftop of the Marina Bay Financial Centre, this amazing spot (which holds the title of the highest urban microbrewery in the world) is thinking outside the box with its selection of beer cocktails. Crafted by celebrity mixologist Javier de la Muelas, try the Paris Lush (33.1 Blond Lager, champagne, creme de cassis, elderflower syrup and gold dust) and the Lima Fresh (33.4 House Porter, Brass Lion Singapore dry gin, pisco, elderflower syrup and lime). There’s also a selection of their classic beers brewed on site (opt for the tasting paddle), plus a tasty food menu filled with dishes inspired by beer. Order the Kurobuta pork collar with Stout “char siu” glaze and the lobster roll with roasted yeast butter, Blond Lager pickled shallot and a crispy beer malt brioche.
RedDot Brewhouse
Tucked away in a lush, green oasis called is the perfect place to chill out with a cold one in hand. Owner Ernest Ng is a pioneer in the Singapore craft beer scene, bravely crafting quirky flavours that spurred a movement in the brewery scene—so yea, RedDot Brewhouse needs to be at the top of your must-do list for your next bar crawl. Whatever you do, order their famous Monster Green Lager. Made with spirulina—this clean and light brew has notes of biscuit and champagne and will leave you wanting more. Another standout is their Sauvignon Ale, made by carefully combining the best of beer and wine. The result is an easy-to-drink drop with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, mango and pear. Enjoy your tipple in the sprawling beer garden or linger longer for lunch at RedDot restaurant where you can devour towering burgers and stone oven-baked pizzas.
The 1925 Microbrewery
One of Singapore’s coolest craft breweries, was founded by beer enthusiasts, the Yeo family, in particular, brothers Ivan and Eng Kuang and their uncle Yeo King Joey. All of the microbrewery drops pay homage to the family’s Teochew heritage. There’s the tasty Liang Teh, a crisp lager made with white chrysanthemum, inspired by their Grandmother who used to brew herbal tea for them when they were young. Or try flavour bomb, Yellow Van (named after the car the founder’s grandfather used to ferry them around in) - a tasty pale ale filled with bursts of Citra. Smith Street Taps
Small in size, but big on its beer offering, is the place where beer aficionados converge. Hidden within Chinatown, this beer hawker stall is run by two of the country’s biggest craft beer pioneers—Meng Chao and Daniel Goh, so you know only the best stuff is being poured here. Open Tuesday to Saturday, you’ll find an ever-changing list of tipples on tap from Singapore and around the world. Sip a cold pint or grab a takeaway tinnie, just let the legends behind the bar know what you like and they’ll find your perfect match. The vibrant buzz of Chinatown and the hawker stalls that sit snuggly side by side create the perfect beer-drinking atmosphere. Hungry? Mikkeller Singapore
Also nestled amongst hawker stalls, and opened in collaboration with Smith Street Taps, is Singapore’s newest and potentially, smallest, craft beer bar. After making a splash with a series of pop-ups around Singapore, fans of the Copenhagen-based gypsy brewer can now enjoy their brews in a permanent place. Weave your way through the Chinatown Complex Food Centre to the green zone and you’ll find the pint-sized bar pouring brews from 10 taps. Much like Smith Street, where you’ll find an ever-changing menu including Mikkeller creations (like Green Gold IPA, Raspberry Sour and an Organic German Pilsner) and international craft brewers, so you’ll never have to sip the same drop twice.
SG Taps
With a goal to revolutionise Singapore's food and beer scene, at you’ll find a whopping 20 beers on tap for you to try. Big on celebrating local brews, here you can try beers from the likes of Sunbird Brewing Co, Lion Brewery, RedDot and CRUST. The tap list is switched up on the regular, so you can expect to be sipping Watermelon Ale from Pink Blossom Brewery one day and a Vanilla Chocolate Porter from Brewerkz the next. A trip here is a true adventure for your tastebuds. Whatever you do, make sure you save some room for the beer-infused food menu. Formerly known as , the brewery has rebranded and added a restaurant to the mix making it the perfect spot for beer lovers to catch up over a bowl of slurpy noods inside this dimly-lit hidden gem at Haji Lane, you’ll find 16 different beers on tap that rotate regularly (think everything from a crisp pilsner to a German-style Weissbier), Asian-inspired cocktails, dim sum, stir fry and of course, handmade umami-laden noodles.
