Pork Sliders And Hazy XPA Battered Fish And Chips: Here’s Everything To Eat At A Fever Game

By

Netball season is back, and as the home of West Coast Fever, is your front-row seat to all the action. Beyond scoring yourself a good spot in the arena, equipping yourself with a good feed when kicking back with the Green Army is a must. Enter:, the culinary hotspot to help you set sail into a world of craft brews and flavour-packing bites as you soak up the electric atmosphere.

With all seven home games being played at RAC Arena this season, we asked our netball-loving Perth crew exactly what to order the next time you find yourself courtside.

The One Hander: Pulled Pork Sliders

For our Perth Editor Danielle, grabbing a bite courtside is all about something you can eat in one hand, so you can cheer on the Fevers with the other. "With that in mind, the pulled pork sliders tick all the boxes," she says.

"Perfectly soft pork braised in Pirate Life's South Coast Pale Ale pairs with a seed mustard aioli and pickles, while mint slaw adds a surprising pop of freshness. The perfect game day snack,” she adds.

The Surprise Fave: Beetroot Falafels

Not typically one to order the veggie option, our Commercial Director Lei said she has a soft spot for Pirate Life Bar's beetroot falafels, dubbing them a "surprise delight."

“These epic falafels sit on a flavour-packed tomato dahl and are then topped with fresh cucumber and tomato," she says. "You wouldn’t even know they’re gluten-free, let alone vegan. Honestly, these bite-size goodies are a true chef's kiss.”

Courtside But Coastal: Hazy XPA Battered Fish And Chips

Having sampled many of Perth’s finest fish and chips in her time, our Lifestyle Editor Renee knows a great scoop of these crispy goods when she sees them. According to Renee, Pirate Life Bar’s Hazy XPA Battered Fish and Chips live up to the hype.

"It’s all in their light, crisp, and golden batter that's laced with a hoppy twist. Pair this with a fillet of fresh fish, some hot chippies, and a view of the game, and you actually can’t go wrong.”

The Spritz Snack: Roasted Corn Kikones

Our queen snacker and Perth Account Manager Ana is all about finding something she can snack and sip on while soaking up the action.

"No dish nails the sideline snack brief better for me than Pirate Life Bar’s roasted corn kikones. Charred to perfection, this roasted corn dish reminds me of my last trip to Mexico and summer barbeques in the backyard," she says. Queue the “corn” song.

Ahead of the Fever’s season set to hit the arena by storm, what better time to lock in your tickets and put our food recs to the test. For more on how you can experience and top-tier food and drink offerings, head.
