Central Suburbs
Bodhi at The Westin
Level 5/480 Hay St, Perth WA 6000

Housed within the chic Westin Hotel, my good friend Alisha and lover of all things relaxation tells me this is her favourite spot of all the . She said as soon as she walks in, she’s reminded about how beautiful it is.
“The service is amazing, the robes are so soft and sitting in the lounge after a massage is the perfect way to slowly wake up, all whilst enjoying the delicious refreshments. I always leave feeling so well rested.”
If we had to choose just one treatment to partake in, we’re all about the uniquely special Kodo massage, inspired by Australian Indigenous healing. The rhythmic massage targets fatigue and tension, re-aligning energy flow and energising the mind and body. Your therapist will work on activated pressure points and use spiralling movements to ground, uplift and calm the senses. It really is a magical treatment.
Bodhi Wembley
42C Grantham St, Wembley WA 6014
The very first Bodhi in Perth, and the start of a sanctuary with a rightly deserved cult following, has a focus on revitalising facial, beauty and body therapies using the finest Australian skincare products - you simply can’t go past a facial or body treatment as a gift for yourself or Mum.
With its setup including hydrotherapy baths and an infrared sauna, we really love the idea of focusing on body skin care and trying something a little out of the ordinary and just a bit different to a massage. Cue the vanilla bliss scrub. The full body exfoliation is a real treat and starts with warm botanical oils being massaged into the skin followed by a vanilla and sandalwood exfoliant to buff away dry skin and address any tension. You’ll then jump in a warm shower before your therapist applies a hydrating application of antioxidant-rich vanilla body cream to leave your skin super glowy.
The scrub feels really decadent and wayyy better than any you’ll ever try yourself at home. If you’ve never had a professional full body exfoliation at a spa – this is your sign to book this in stat. It may just become your regular.

And when you want to take things to the next level, adding on the 60-minute Indian head massage is always a good idea. Beginning in a seated position, it targets the head, neck and shoulders with deep tissue techniques and pressure point work, finishing with a soothing massage of the nine Marma facial points. It’s the ultimate reset—stress, be gone.

Ember Bathhouse

Ember Bathhouse has to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing places you’ll ever lay eyes on. The bathhouse itself is utterly dreamy and has been designed by some of the most talented people on earth. Think earthy tones, slabs of stone, subtle incense and premium toiletries. It’s fitted out with a Morrocan hammam steam room, Finnish sauna, cold plunge pool and hot magnesium bath and whilst this alone is 90 minutes of intense relaxation, adding on a spa treatment is a whole new experience.
As an absolute fiend for self-care and spas, last year’s birthday treat was a girl’s afternoon at Ember followed by an hour full body massage and seriously, I am not sure I have ever felt so good. All four of us walked out saying it was one of the most amazing spa experiences of our life and I’ve been trying to get back there ever since. Just a head’s up – this place is so popular you’ll likely have to plan your treatment well in advance, but trust me – it’s worth it.

Bodhi Highgate

I have to say, when I’m booking myself in for an hour or two at Bodhi, the challenge of choosing which spa will certainly play on my mind – I love them all, and they really all have their own uniquely beautiful characteristics. I do have a soft spot for with its enormously spacious treatment rooms and outdoor oasis where you can enjoy your tea and fruit platter post-treatment. It gives me total Bali vibes and a real escape for a little part of my day.
As much as I love a massage (okay, I love all spa treatments) it’s hard to turn down a facial – there’s just something about them which feels so over-the-top indulgent and I am totally here for it. The Bodhi brightening facial is pretty damn special and if I was gifted that, I’d be one happy little spa goer. It’s customised to your skin’s needs and is both illuminating and firming, using divine products with brightening vitamins, protective antioxidants and the best lymphatic drainage facial massage to boost collagen production. I also love the addition of the LED light therapy – you can close your eyes and feel the gorgeous warmth on your face as you dream you’re lying on a tropical beach, all while getting that goodness deep into your skin.

is a true haven and somewhat of a hidden gem here in Perth. The spa is fitted out to perfection with heated beds topped with fluffy blankets, a glorious freestanding bath, and relaxation room complete with tea, coconut water, choccies and sparkling wine. The massages here are honestly some of the best I’ve ever had – the perfect blend of being luxurious and peaceful enough to wind down, whilst being firm enough to work out any knots and tension.
I’m also a fangirl of the facials, using Aussie-owned brand O Cosmedics which has been an absolute game changer in my skincare routine. To make sure Mum gets the best of both worlds, I’d recommend booking her in for the journey spa ritual which starts with a full body relaxation massage and concludes with an express facial and eye treatment. She’ll be feeling all sorts of zen and have a superior glow.
