Il Lido

Did you know that translates to 'the beach' in Italian? Makes sense considering its prime location overlooking Cottesloe Beach. If you’re after a hearty breakfast, look no further than the mushroom guys bruschetta served with silverbeet, poached egg and carbonara butter. And make sure you check out their daily baked treats too, the savoury muffins are mind-blowingly good. It’s open seven days a week from 6.30am onwards, so it’s the perfect spot to head straight to after a morning dip or coastal walk.

Daisies

Tucked away in the streets of Cottesloe, is the place to be on a sunny morning in Perth. Pouring strong coffee and scrumptious breakfasts to eat there or to grab and go, Daisies is the perfect spot for those who want something fresh and healthy to eat out in the warm sun. Try their famous smashed avo toast served with Meredith feta, chilli dukkah and house-made chilli jam—you won’t regret it.

The Other Side

Located right on the train line across from Swanbourne station,  is the perfect place to grab a good takeaway coffee and bite on the run. If you've got some spare time up your sleeve, though, grab a seat out on the sunny dog-friendly deck and tuck into the wholesome brekky menu. This gem is run by the same legends behind fellow Cottesloe hot spot, Daisies, and boasts loads of the same cracking eats, including plenty of gluten free and vegan options.

North Street Store

It might not technically be a cafe, but you can’t go past the velvety smooth coffee and buttery cinnamon scrolls coming out of this little Cottesloe hot spot. Load up on fresh bread to take home or find a seat outside and enjoy one of their weekend specials which range from syrupy pancakes to burgers that will blow your mind.

Vans

1 Napoleon St, Cottesloe WA 6011

is a Cottesloe staple and it's the go-to spot for many locals in the area. It’s also located right along Napoleon Street making it perfect for those of you who enjoy a bit of people-watching while you chow down on one of the best breakfasts in Cottesloe. Vans is open from 6.30am seven days a week, offering classic but quality menu items that will satisfy any breakfast lover.

While the Eric Street Cimbalino might be gone, the Napolean Street cafe is still going strong. Grab one of their delicious coffees and tuck into breakfast specialties like the corn and feta fritters which features streaky bacon, poached egg, avocado, tomato compote and rocket. These guys also do a damn good smoothie.

Little SUP

If you’ve gone for an early morning surf or you’re looking for somewhere to grab a much-needed cup of coffee before seeing the Rotto Swim athletes take off, you’ll be pleased to hear that Little SUP opens bright and early at 6am each day. The popular surfboard-clad cafe is just up the road from the beach and offers a selection of homemade pastries and muffins—perfect for any early riser.

Up Town

Up Town is brought to us by the fellas previously behind Velvet Espresso, so you know the coffee is going to be top-notch. They also serve all-day brunch from 6.30am so head in for an early breakfast or coffee any day of the week. The light and bright eatery specialises in native ingredients and many of their dishes are also gluten-free. You can also expect to see a variety of Greek treats on display, so go ahead and treat yourself to a pastry or two.

John Street Cafe

37 John St, Cottesloe WA 6011

has long been a favourite among locals. Located under the shade of the huge pine trees on John Street, you can enjoy the fresh ocean air away from the harsh sun. John Street Cafe is dishing up all-day breakfast from 7am, with plenty of options for everyone. Make sure you try the eggs benny with their famous house-made hollandaise sauce.

Longview

Sitting pretty overlooking the waves, brekky at  is allllll about that view. Snag a seat on the balcony to soak up the sea breeze and tuck into classic plates done well. Think: buttermilk pancakes topped with lemon curd and fresh berries, blue swimmer crab scrambled eggs and eggs benny with crispy potato rostis. 

Eric Chamberlain

36 Eric St, Cottesloe WA 6011

In the spot that used to be Eric Street Cimablino, (named after its location on Eric Street and Chamberlain Street) is the perfect spot for an early no-fuss breakfast. They are open for breakfast seven days a week from 6.30am, so head over and try one of their acai bowls or sip on a delicious coffee on their dog-friendly patio.
