It’s no secret that we at OB真人视讯 are massive fans of a good high tea, after all, our list is one of the most comprehensive around so it’s clear we’ve tried more than a few. Well, loosen your belt fam because there's a new afternoon tea concept in town that we feel duty-bound to bring to your attention.
The Park Hyatt Auckland Hotel—which opens today—has turned the idea of the traditional high tea right on its head. A year in the making and the baby of executive pastry chef Callum Liddicoat, the you’ll sit down to at the stunning waterfront Living Room—one of four epic restaurants in this ‘true’ five-star hotel—is unlike any other you'll find in Auckland or beyond.
Rather than the food all being brought out at once on a towering high tea stand—which makes you feel defeated before you’ve even taken the first bite—the high tea at the picturesque Living room is served in five delicious courses. If you're keen to up the ante you can also order a glass of Billecart-Salmon Champagne to your afternoon tea experience.
Designed as a whimsical culinary journey to be enjoyed over a leisurely two to three hour period, each course is a decadent mix of sweet and savoury with the menu changing seasonally. Each item could stand as a work of food art on its own, and looks so good it’s almost too pretty to eat… almost. If you feel like you’re reaching your limit, you can take the rest home—because when the food’s this good, it’d be a travesty to leave it behind.
