If one thing’s for sure, indoor plants sit in a very special place in our hearts these days. You know, those cute, spiky little cacti sitting on the windowsill, or those stunning, draping string of pearls hanging on the wall. Many of you will agree that having plants around the house just makes life better.
Fortunately for us, the General Collective are holding their hugely successful in Morningside on Sunday 11 April. There'll be gorgeous plants and flowers to take home including clever kokedama by Coastal Flair, hanging planters and elegant orchids by Hansens 2020 Ltd, along with stunning dried floral arrangements and fresh bouquets from Florence & Grace and Foxytwigs flowers.
What's better? You don’t even have to be a green thumb to enjoy it because if you can’t grow it, you can wear, hang or even gift it. There will be creative curated pieces of homewares, artworks and botanically inspired jewellery from local creatives including limited edition watercolour prints by Leden, miniature botanical scenes from Moon Lighting, along with nature themed accessories and jewellery from local designers such as Lily & Daisy Designs and Foliage Addiction.
If you’re more of a foodie, fear not for you have not been neglected. On the menu will be flower themed baked creations whipped up by Otti & Olli—they’re almost too beautiful to eat. Almost. There'll also be chocolate bouquets, hand-crafted by FRUNEY and Bush honey from Raglan’s Miel des Collines to get your taste buds zinging.
Whether you’re a plant lover or a lover of the botanical movement, come along to experience this wonderful occasion at the upcoming botanical market. We'll see you there!
