The Verdict

Jetty Road is the new kid on the Mornington Peninsula block, and they're already making a name for themselves. As local boys with “a passion for all things craft beer and a childhood love for the Mornington Peninsula”, friends Blake and Simon have created a funky, industrial-style brewery. The concept? Craft beers, sensational local food and a great atmosphere. Sounds good to us.

The space itself is a simple, industrial style warehouse—black on the outside, red bricks on the inside. Up above you've got high, insulated ceilings with a couple of big pendant lights. Under your feet—smooth brushed concrete. Despite the utilitarian design, there's an inviting buzz as soon as you walk in.

At the moment, there are only three beers on offer—but its' really all you need to get a feel for the Jetty Rd style. If you're a fan of pale ale, this one goes down very smooth. An IPA and an amber ale round out the selection so far. The wine list is also filled to the brim with local wines from down the Peninsula, and there's a cider on tap for those long summer arvos.

When hunger strikes, go for the sliders with duck fat potatoes. An epic beer-bro combo. We're not sure if it's just the food alone, or a combination of the friendly atmosphere and on-point design, but this place is ticking all the boxes. You can also pick up their merch, and take home some canned beers to help soothe the withdrawal feels.

Welcome to the Peninsula, folks.
