5 Must Eat (And Drink) Events At The 2025 Melbourne Food And Wine Festival

An undeniable highlight in Melbourne’s cultural calendar — the (MFWF) — is returning in March 2025 with a jam-packed program featuring special guest chefs, one-off dining experiences, long lunches, pop-ups and more.

Running across just 10 days from March 21 to 30, the MFWF will host more than 200 events across Victoria where guests can experience an array of culinary delights from both newcomers and returning festival favourites. Below, find our top picks for the best drinking and dining experiences on the card’s for the 2025 program.

World's Longest Lunch

It wouldn’t be the MFWF without the return of the — a tradition born back in 1993 at the MCG that’s still running now more than three decades later. This year’s iteration will once again take place at Melbourne’s Kings Domain on March 21, with tickets including a three-course lunch (with wine pairings) served across a 600-metre long table by renowned Aussie celebrity chef Curtis Stone. World's Longest Brunch

Brunch is a quintessential experience in Melbourne. This year, the MFWF is taking its annual to the scenic grounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens for a roving walk through the park. Heading up the March 23 event is Melbourne’s very own Julia Busuttil Nishimura (AKA ), who’ll be showcasing her favourite dishes across three different garden stops. Three sessions are also available: 9am, 10.30am, and 12pm (for those who prefer brunch after a sleep in).

Tacos and Toum

In a MFWF first, Taco Truck’s Raph Rashid is teaming up with his mate, hummus king Tom Sarafian to serve up a unique fusion of Middle Eastern and Mexican cuisine. Find moreish snacks like Lebanese-style tacos and a Mexican take on kibbeh at CBD urban park Wesley Place on March 26. The best part? It’s completely free. Run, don't walk — it won’t last long. Konstantin Filippou: Vienna to Vue

Celebrated Austrian fine dining chef Konstantin Filippou is joining forces with Vue de Monde’s Hugh Allen for a world-class culinary experience on March 27. Known for his eponymous Michelin-star restaurant in Vienna, Filippou is bringing his unique Mediterranean cuisine to Australia for the very first time with a chef’s tasting menu that’s sure to impress, designed in collaboration with Allen. Baker’s Dozen

Returning to Fed Square for its third consecutive year, will close out the MFWF’s final weekend with a two-day baking extravaganza featuring offerings from Melbourne’s highest regarded bakers and cake makers. From March 29 to 30, you can indulge in baked goods from the likes of Baker Bleu, Tarts Anon, To Be Frank, A.P Bakery, and much, much more. You might even be able to nab a Lune croissant if you get there early enough.
