Potentially one of Melbourne’s brightest, this two-story Christmas lights extravaganza is impossible to miss. 

Bring your sunnies - tens of thousands of lights run in every direction, layering the front drive right up to the fence. Taking easily over a month of preparation, this classic Christmas display is a true showstopper. But you have to wait until it gets dark – shows starting 8.30pm nightly. Running from December 1st to 25th.

Prepare to be dazzled by tens of thousands of colourful lights. Lit up from 8:30pm to 10pm each night, this huge display features a nativity scene, inflatables, roof decorations, a bubble/smoke/snow machine, moving displays as well as light projections! With the entire house and driveway decked out, it’s an adventure itself looking at each element, which those of all ages will appreciate. 

Middlesex Court will be displaying every night in December.

Glencairn Drive 

Greenvale 

Now this is Christmas entertainment. Imagine this: as soon as you hop out of your car, music is playing and Christmas lights and displays are moving before you. With a decorated room, Christmas statues, a nativity scene and even six animated window displays, this large display took over a month to get set up. Running for over 20 years, the owner loves to bring joy to the community, while any donations go to supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. 

Glencairn Drive will be displaying from Friday 1 December.

Warwick Close 

Wantirna 

This large and vibrant display is bursting with decorations, music, inflatables and a dazzling walk-through display. Definitely one for the kids!

Turnberry Drive 

Sunbury 

A quaint and creative display, with various Christmas motifs and lit up displays. The garden and bushes are covered with lights and you’ll love the bright nativity scene and star on the roof! The owners love seeing the joy it bring to others and they’ve told us that if anything captures your heart, some items will be available for purchase after Christmas. Simply leave a note in the letterbox to take a piece of the festive spirit home with you! 

Turnberry Drive will turn on from 4th December.

Pushkin Court 

Doncaster 

A local favourite for decades, this corner property is back for 2024 with a display that’s sure to impress. The owner knows a thing or two about Christmas Lights, having put up this display for over 20 years! 

Admire creative characters perched along the brick wall, a nativity scene, window displays and thousands of lights and other fun decorations. Supporting SES Manningham, this display is a must-see for those nearby. Running from December 1st to 28th.

Swanston Court 

Taylors Hill

The entire front of this house is a luminous wonderland, with animated Santa and Mrs. Claus alongside charming inflatable decorations. Witness the magic every night from 8:30pm to 10pm (extending to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays). 

You’ll find a nativity scene, colourful icicles hanging from the eaves, many inflatables, Christmas statues and a charming Santa village. 

Swanston Court will be displaying from 1 December.

Knightsbridge Avenue 

Altona Meadows 

Meet the friendly owners as they light up their house from 9pm to 12am, a tradition they’ve continued for over a decade. The red and green lights along the fence lead you into a vibrant Christmas light display that offers many photo opportunities. 

With a lit-up archway and colourful lights that look as though they’re levitating on the roof, this is one for the kids! 

Knightsbridge Avenue will be running until the 5th of January.

Mulgrave Way 

Croydon North 

This display is filled with an abundance of lights and music (and possibly Santa himself), but it’s more than just a light show; it's a magical Christmas experience. Starting at 8.30pm, and staying on as long as there are Christmas enthusiasts to enjoy! 

These guys have been lighting up for over a decade and take easily over a month to unpack and install all the decorations. Funds raised go towards supporting Wonga Park CFA. 

Running from 1st to 27th December.

Shaftsbury Street 

Coburg 

A magical display put on by a friendly owner who loves making the local kids smile. Shaftsbury Lights has been established over many years of collecting Christmas pieces, each year with something new! 

Santa’s mailbox, lighted rings and reindeer, giant teddy and a train set make this a display to be enjoyed by young and old alike. Open nightly to 11:30 pm (as long as the weather behaves), it’s the perfect spot to bring the family for some Christmas magic. 

Shaftsbury Street is lighting up from the 9th to 31st December.

Boyd Close 

Mooroolbark 

Experience a festive wonderland with a fully decorated property featuring a life-size Santa sleigh and 3-metre inflatable reindeer! Enjoy Christmas carols and snowfall on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Spot Santa on December 14 and Christmas Eve. There will even be an ice cream truck nightly from 12th Dec. Make sure you tag #ohboyditschristmas when visiting. 

Boyd Close will be displaying from Friday 1 December.

Rawdon Court 

Boronia

The Rawdon Court Kristmas Krew have been creating this display for yonks and it’s nothing short of spectacular. Taking more than a month to set up, this year’s show features over 85,000 lights cascading down from the roofline to the driveway and garden. 

Late-night sessions on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight. Highlights include a North Pole display, a gingerbread marquee with photo props, and interactive characters like Bluey and the Grinch. 

The display supports the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation through donations and the brand-new $2 North Pole Airways ride for kids. Don’t forget to hunt for the mischievous elf “Relf” hiding among the decorations! 

Please park in Beresford Road and walk into the court. Lighting up from the 1st to 25th December.

Bethany Road 

Hoppers Crossing 

Young ones will love the mammoth of towering inflatable characters, from Olaf and Woody to Ninja turtles and minions. Adults will appreciate the beautiful arrangements of lights, music, and themed characters on display. Open November 30th through to Christmas day.

Yalta Court 

Clayton 

An impressive setup that’s been wowing visitors for over 20 years. Running nightly from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm (unless it’s raining—lights need their beauty rest too), you’ll enjoy all the stand outs of a classic Christmas display including lasers, projections, and even bubble machines! 

The walk-in section and roof decorations offer plenty to explore, while the creative window displays add an extra touch of charm. 

Running November 30th to January 3rd.

Grevillea Road 

Kings Park 

This walk-in display is packed with thousands of lights and plenty of fun surprises, making it a great way to spend your evening. Kids will love the giant candy cane archway, the nightly snow machine (if the crowd’s buzzing), and spotting the friendly snowman among the decorations. 

Running ‘till midnight throughout December.

Christmas Festival Of Lights

Victoria’s largest Christmas lights festival returns to Geelong’s  with over 3 million individual lights and 1000 unique displays. Highlights for 2024 include but certainly aren’t limited to a new drone Christmas light show, hot air balloons, and a 12m long rocket ship light installation. 

Christmas Square

Acting as the hub for the City of Melbourne’s month-long Christmas Festival,  naturally features a helluva lot of Christmas lights, and it includes what might be Victoria’s largest illuminated Christmas tree—coming in at a towering 17.5m tall. Check it out from Friday 29 November until Christmas Day. 

The Christmas River Show

Yarra River, Melbourne CBD

The will return to the Yarra River this Christmas, featuring lasers, light projections, and illuminated fountains. Check it out nightly, every 15 minutes, from Friday 29 December through to Christmas Day.
