Sitting in prime position on Brunswick Street Mall next to Fortitude Music Hall, The Sound Garden is Fortitude Valley's epic new bar and restaurant that will take your next Valley night out to the next level—literally. Taking over two massive floors with space for 700 punters, the split level venue even has a verandah overlooking the Brunswick Street Mall, perfect for a bit of late night people watching on a Saturday night.
The venue's most eye-catching feature is the seven metre tall Ficus Hilii tree that stretches up through the striking staircase towards the mirrored ceiling. A glam gold bar on each level means you won't have to travel far for a refill of your drink, while downstairs is where you'll find the live music stage.
As for the food and drink, once you get over the novelty of perusing your options on a vinyl record, you can choose from pub classics with a smoky twist. There's your usual pizzas, burgers and rump steaks, but they're on the menu alongside wood-fired lamb pitas, small plates of lemongrass pork skewers, beef in betel leaf and lamb kofta. And when it comes to drinks, you'll find a concise list of beers and wines, classic cocktails and concoctions inspired by musical legends.
