Springing from the crew who run , Brisbane’s favourite cheese platter delivery company, Spread knows a thing or two about a good carb and dairy combo. Tucked away on a suburban strip in Camp Hill, the casual but stylish venue is somewhere you’d be more than happy to take a date, but is equally suited for a mid-week family dinner with the kids—and they even do takeaway.
While pizza is their signature, that’s not all Spread does well. New head chef, Shannon Burman, former sous chef at Julius Pizzeria and globe-trotter who has spent time in the kitchens at Soho House in NYC and Babington House in the UK, has introduced an elevated new menu that will keep everyone happy.
Joining the line up of stellar slices is a selection of snacks and bites like burrata with nduja dressing, truffle arancini, fried baby calamari and crumbed mozzarella, while those not feeling pizza for mains can choose from a selection of pastas like spaghetti aglio e olio and ragu ricotta gnocchi.
If you are here for the pizza though, you’re spoilt for choice, with options like garlic and honey, capricciosa, parma, pepperoni, gamberi and even a vegan number topped with pumpkin, zucchini, fresh cherry tomatoes and rocket. Be sure to save a little room at the end for dessert, because the chocolate tiramisu will have you licking the plate clean.
