Si Baby, located in the recently constructed Newport Marketplace on the Redcliffe peninsula, is an intimate dining experience, perfect for your next date night or a catch up with your closest pal. Here, maroon interiors, globe lights, sleek leather banquettes, and a marble bar come together under the light of a funky neon sign, all while smooth jazz is playing in the background. 

This Italian venue serves up a range of snacks, pastas, and pizzas made with dough fermented for 48 hours and cooked right in front of you in their giant wood-fired oven. It will take you a while to peruse your options—those pizzas come with toppings like carbonara, four cheese and pepperoni, just to name a few.  Make sure to order a crust dipper for those last bites—basil pesto will have you finishin off every crumb. 

Not a pizza a lover? We don't understand—but you do have options. Si Baby also dishes up pastas like spaghetti carbonara, baked semolina gnocchi with blue cheese sauce and pappardelle lamb ragu. Or you can just go straight to dessert—will it be the sticky date pudding or Italian churros with Nutella for dipping. 

It wouldn’t be a true night out without some drinks, and Si Baby have you covered there too. An Australian and Italian wine list is up for grabs, but, more importantly, you can choose from an assortment of signature and classic cocktails. We’d recommend a Tommy’s Margarita with your pizza, but if you’ve finished up your meal and don’t want to go home—we’ve all been there—then head up to the bar and grab a sweet cocktail like Dusk Till Dawn, a delicious concoction of Ketel One, strawberry and passionfruit. 

This new hotspot has been hectic since it opened, so make sure to nab a booking before you show up. Or, if you’re just after their mouth-watering eats and not so much the restaurant vibe, grab one of their pizzas to go and sit on the waterfront for a chill night. Either way, good food and good times.
