The Details
There’s nothing we love more than pasta—except maybe pizza. And lucky for us, Italian favourite is swinging their doors open again and dishing up both.
Persone is the perfect marriage of tradition and modernity, knowing not to change a good thing that has already been perfected over the centuries except with quality local produce and ingredients, of course.
The a la carte menu is extensive, so to avoid the dreaded food envy, we recommend starting with the beef, pork and fennel meatballs as well as their crowd-favourite fried calamari. As for mains, the pappardelle al ragu served with juicy porchetta and drizzled with carrot and marjoram jus is a top choice that will have you coming back for seconds. For the seafood lovers among us, be sure to dive into the artfully-plated pesce del diorno grigliato featuring grilled fish in a seaweed broth, topped with clams and smoked almond. And with sugary goodness like dark chocolate mousse, tiramisu, rhubarb cheesecake and house-made cannoli on the menu, you’ll absolutely need to leave room for dessert.
Although food is always our top priority, we love a restaurant that delivers ambience and top-notch service to match. Located at Brisbane Quarter, you’ll ride the elevator to the second floor and step out onto Persone's patio to be greeted with views of the Brisbane River and sparkling city skyline that are just begging to be snapped and uploaded to the ‘Gram.
If you’ve been chasing an indulgent dining experience, we reckon it’s absolutely time you unfold a napkin at Persone. Whether it’s for a family get-together, a romantic dinner date or just to simply celebrate the fact you made it to Wednesday, Persone delivers a fine dining experience like no other.
