We've gone and fallen head over heels for cute-as-a-button Brisbane cafe, Little Red Bakery.  Having taken over from Little Red Providore, this heritage building turned cosy brunch spot has been lovingly restored, dishing up cottage-style cafe vibes in spades (it even has a red door). Spreading out over two levels, there’s even a hidden kids play area downstairs, as well as a gorgeous dog-friendly secret courtyard complete with striped umbrellas.

Fresh breads, pastries and cakes are all baked daily and displayed behind the counter, courtesy of sister outlets NYC Bagel Deli, Superthing and Cordelia Sourdough Bakehouse, with Bee One Third honey and hand-selected local producers also popping up on the small but mighty menu. What really caught our attention though, is their sweet panna cotta honey butter toasts—a decadent breakfast dish of honey butter toast topped with panna cotta and either caramelized banana and caramel sauce or strawberry and yuzu coulis. 

If that sounds like a little too much sugar for you of a morning, they also dish up uber creative savoury breakfasts like charcoal bacon and egg bao buns, smashed avo bagels and breakfast tacos, not to mention a fine All Press coffee roast. Trust us, if you haven't yet checked out Little Red Bakery, you're missing out. Locals already flock there on the daily for their morning coffee hit and pantry supplies of a weekend, so make a beeline for this gorgeous little Brisbane cafe bursting with old-world charm.
