Brisbane certainly isn’t short of a good craft brewery, but if you want to sink a cold one somewhere so relaxed and cosy that it feels like your mates place, head for Hoppers Brewing Co. This Albion bar might be small, but they’re pouring some big, juicy beers, which you can spot being brewed up right there in the warehouse behind the bar. 

Decked out in retro, vintage furniture, a mezzanine seating area and outdoor beer garden ensures there’s plenty of space for you to grab a seat and work your way through their current line up of brews, either one by one or with a tasting paddle. For the non-beer lovers, they also distil their own gin and vodka under the label Wicked Spirits, which you can sip with tonic or in a cocktail special.

When you get peckish, you can order up wood-fired pizzas or food truck-style fare from Yak Shak, who dish out yakitori sticks at the brewery on a regular basis. Bonus, they’re dog-friendly, so you can bring your puppers along.
