Whilst it’s totally romantic to sail down the Seine on a river cruise, we just can’t go past a row boat for two. Full of lush gardens, postcard worthy views, and florals that will rival Nana’s garden, the lake at Bois de Boulogne is an idyllic spot to spend an afternoon. When your arms get tired of rowing, walk through the winding paths and check out the Château Vincennes and Jardin Shakespeare where plants, flowers and trees mentioned in the famous writer’s plays grow alongside Summer time performances in the open-air theatre.
