Oh yes, if you're looking for the best shows on Paramount+ Australia, you've come to the right place.

Paramount+ plays host to blockbuster shows, old faves, binge-worthy drama series, reality TV and live sport. And best of all it’s got an epic selection of homegrown entertainment too. Take it from us, it was pretty hard to reduce the best shows on Paramount+ Australia down to this list.

To help get your viewing session started, we’ve picked out the best shows on Paramount+ Australia to watch this autumn 2025.

A Gentleman in Moscow

If you’d asked us if a period drama about an aristocrat imprisoned in a luxury hotel in 1920s Russia was high on our list of streaming priorities before we watched A Gentleman in Moscow, we probably would have scoffed. But, after bingeing it in full on an international flight, we can happily report that it’s moving and amusing in equal measure. Ewan McGregor is endearing, charming, and charismatic in the lead role. His antics range from fanciful and farcical to thrilling and emotional, which makes for enjoyable viewing. The style, tone, and story are reminiscent of Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, so if you liked that movie, you’ll probably enjoy this limited series. All eight episodes of A Gentleman in Moscow are available to stream right this very second.

The Agency

Looking for a big-budget American spy thriller filled with ridiculously famous actors? Look no further than The Agency. Starring hunks Michael Fassbender and Richard Gere and based on the hit French series Le Bureau des Légendes, The Agency follows CIA Agent Martian, who is pulled out of his undercover assignment and ordered to return to London. When a former love reappears, Martian struggles to protect his identity while balancing his real life with the dangerous world of international espionage. Some critics raved about this one, while others reckoned it was a bit of a slow and lacklustre start. But, of course, you can make up your own mind by streaming The Agency right this second.

Matlock

If you saw the original retro Matlock series back in the 80s, forget everything you think you know. Starring the ever-fabulous Kathy Bates, this reboot delves into the life of a wealthy retired lawyer returning to the workforce under an alias as she works to expose the law firm she believes hid evidence that could have prevented her daughter’s death. Although at first glance you might think it’s your standard American show about lawyers, the plot seriously thickens as the story progresses. Season 1 of Matlock is available now on Paramount+ Australia, with new episodes released every Monday.

Mayor of Kingstown

Jeremy Renner as a tough and brooding power broker running interference between street gangs, prisoners, guards, and cops…? Oh if we must. Mayor of Kingstown follows the McLusky family in a fictional Michigan town where crime and incarceration are major business. Tasked with keeping the peace as ‘Mayor’ after his brother dies, Mike McLusky (Renner) gets his hands dirty trying to bring order to a very messy town. All three seasons are now available in full. So, whether you love gritty action and violence or just want to stare at Jezza doing gloriously butch things, make Mayor of Kingstown your next watch tonight.

Watson

Okay hear us out. We know the market is perhaps already a little saturated with Sherlock Holmes remakes but this one is worth a shout in our humble opinions. Starring the impossibly handsome Morris Chestnut, Watson is an American medical drama with some detective stuff on the side (duh). The story takes place a year after Sherlock Holmes’ death and follows Dr. John Watson as he opens the “Holmes Clinic” to treat patients with strange and mysterious illnesses. But, when evidence that Sherlock’s killer, Moriarty is still alive, the plot thickens! The first instalments of Watson are available to stream on Paramount+ Australia now, with new episodes dropping every Monday.

Ghosts

When Samantha and Jay inherit a huge country estate, they decide to throw caution to the wind, leave their tiny New York walk-up, and set up a Bed & Breakfast. Little do they know, however, that the place will be inhabited by a gang of misfit ghosts and that—after a near-death experience—Samantha will somehow be able to communicate with them. Based on the British sitcom of the same name, Ghosts is silly, easy to watch, and has a strong ensemble cast. It’s now on its fourth season (we love starting a new binge with back seasons) with new eps dropping every Friday.

Elsbeth

Fresh from the same universe as The Good Wife and The Good Fight, Elsbeth is a police procedural comedy-drama starring Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni. If you’ve seen either The Good Wife or The Good Fight, you’ll be familiar with this quirky lawyer as well as her unconventional methods. And now, with her very own spin-off, you can enjoy her wonderful weirdness as she uses her ‘unique’ point of view to help the NYPD catch all sorts of criminals. Season 1 of Elsbeth is available in full on Paramount+ Australia, with new episodes of Season 2 dropping every Friday.

Lioness

If you like an American spy thriller with a super strong female cast, check out Lioness. Created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, 1923) and dubbed by The Guardian as “brilliantly executed nonsense”, it follows an all-female undercover military unit that foils terrorist plots by cosying up to the wives, girlfriends, and daughters of the CIA’s most wanted. It might not change your life… but with Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldaña, and Morgan friggin Freeman in the mix, it’s a big-budget and star-studded drama that will keep you entertained.

Bargain

Guaranteed to tickle that Squid Game itch, Bargain is the latest K-drama you should be addicted to. In this twisted series, men are lured to a remote hotel under the guise of sexual encounters only to be caught in a trafficking ring where their organs are auctioned off to the highest bidder. Brutal.

There's Something Wrong With The Children

Horror as a genre (almost) always slaps so if you're keen to get around some lock-your-doors kind of movie mania, you need to hit play on There's Something Wrong With The Children. Naturally, there's creepy children, chilling music, a red coat and of course, the age-old scary 'woodlands' trope. Watch it from August 1.

Yellowjackets

The Emmy-nominated series Yellowjackets is back for season two and when we tell you that your body is not ready for the drama, we’re 100 per cent serious. If you missed the initial hype (shame on you), this equal parts survival epic and psychological horror details the saga of a team of talented high school soccer players who, by some crazy chance, survive a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. We also love the show because it not only chronicles the girls’ descent from athletes to savage clan but it jumps from past to present as the girls try to piece their memories together some 25 years later.

In terms of what season two brings, winter falls on the wilderness, pushing the girls to absolute breaking point as they delve into cannibalism. The big question though is, who are they eating? Watch it from

Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies

Take a trip back to Rydell High with this very overdue Grease prequel. The musical series takes place four years before the original Grease; in 1954 before rock ‘n’ roll ruled, before the T-Birds were obviously the coolest in the school. Four fed-up, outcasts dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever.

The Offer

The Offer is based on the never-before-seen experiences of Oscar and Global Globe-winning producer Albert S. Ruddy. The series follows Rudd’s journey in bringing Mario Puzo’s epic crime novel The Godfather, to the big screen. The show stars Miles Teller, Matthew Goodes, Juno Temple and Giovanni Ribisi.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Halfway through their five-year mission to boldly go where no one else has gone before, the crew of the USS Enterprise is forced to abandon ship and battle for survival on an unknown planet.

Last King of the Cross

Starring Home and Away's Lincoln Younes and inspired by the autobiography of nightclub owner John Ibrahim, Last King of the Cross will give viewers a thrill watching debauchery unfold in the familiar setting of Sydney's most infamous party scene.

Halo

We don’t care if you’re into the video game that is Halo or not—you need to watch this series. It is absolute fire. This show follows Master Chief, a cybernetically enhanced super-soldier who defends humanity from the alien Covenant in the 26th Century. It's action-packed, set in a dystopian future and contains some damn incredible visuals.

Two Weeks To Live

Two Weeks To Live is a darkly comic tale of love and revenge born from a harmless prank that goes terribly wrong. Game Of Thrones’ Maisie Williams plays Kim, an early 20-something oddball who, since the murder of her father, has lived off-grid in the wilderness with her doomsday-prepping mother Tina (Fleabag’s Sian Clifford). Feeling compelled to go on a belated coming-of-age adventure, Kim sets out to find her dad’s killer. Things get complicated when she meets brothers Nicky and Jay, and the trio set in motion a chaotic series of events that puts all their lives in danger.

Why Women Kill

From the creator of Desperate Housewives comes one of the best TV shows on Paramount+. Set in 1949, the latest season of Why Women Kill explores what it means to be beautiful, the hidden truth behind the facades people present to the world and the lengths one woman will go to in order to finally belong. The show centres around Alma, a zaftig frump, who sets her sights on joining an exclusive garden club for well-heeled ladies in suburban, post war America. It’s here where she meets Rita (Lana Parilla), who runs the garden club with an iron fist and indulges in some sinister extracurricular activities.

School Spirits

Fans of supernatural teen dramas are in for a treat. School Spirits follows Maddie (Peyton List), a student stuck in high school purgatory who falls down a rabbit hole trying to solve her own disappearance.

Five Bedrooms

This Aussie drama is absolutely one of the best shows on Paramount+. If you’re new to the series, it follows the lives of five strangers who, when finding themselves all seated at the dreaded “singles table” at a wedding, decide to buy a house together and become roommates. There’s the fallen socialite Liz (Kat Stewart), the romantic tragic Ainsley (Katie Robertson), the laconic tradie Ben (Stephen Peacocke), middle-aged mother Heather (Doris Younane) and dutiful gay doctor Harry (Roy Joseph). In season two there’s romance, drama, a DIY renovation, two pregnancies and an ex-husband.

1923

Hollywood heavyweights Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are front and centre in the latest addition to the Yellowstone universe. 1923 continues to explore the trials and tribulations of the Dutton family as they navigate early-20th century life during Prohibition and the Great Depression.

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

You can tell Daniel Radcliffe had the time of his life playing the too-bonkers-to-believe Weird Al Yankovic in this satirical biopic. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is a parody within a parody which is fitting given the source material.

The Flatshare

The premise of The Flatshare will hit a little too close to home for those of us battling it out for a place to rent. Two strangers agree to share custody of an apartment while only ever interacting with each other through post-it notes–a concept that would've seemed outlandish only a few years ago only to feel entirely feasible in 2023.

Tulsa King

After 25 years in prison, New York Mafia capo Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) finds himself in Tulsa, Oklahoma, of all places. Manfredi attempts to turn lemons into lemonade as he forms a new ragtag crew of questionable characters in hopes of rebuilding his empire.

Fatal Attraction

Familiar faces abound in this reimagining of the 80s cult-classic Fatal Attraction, starring Lizzy Caplan (Mean Girls), Joshua Jackson (The Affair) and Alyssa Jirrels all caught up in a messy affair.

South Park

Can you believe South Park has entered its 26th season? The four boys are just as outlandish as ever and the premiere episode even features a callback to Cupid Cartman, which is our favourite form of Cartman.
