Ah Bali, the ultimate holiday destination for Aussies looking for a blissed out vacay filled with cocktails, beach clubs and ridiculously cheap massages and facials. We’ve missed you so much! And the good news is, holidays in this sun soaked island are going to be possible much sooner than expected.
So, what's the deal?
Basically, from February 4, Aussies will be able to pack their bags and fly to Bali which is huge news considering Bali only lifted restrictions to a handful of countries in October of last year. With Australians now included, the plot twist is that even if you're fully vaccinated, you'll still have to self-isolate for five days. As for unvaccinated travellers (which includes individuals who have only had one shot), it's a hefty seven days of quarantine for you.
It's a pretty big move despite a steady rise in Indonesia's COVID-19 cases this month, despite having brought outbreaks under control in the second half of last year.
That said, this has been hot on our radar for a long time now and this may or may not be the sign to start dusting off those passports. You can scope more of Bali's best Airbnbs .
